World Voice Day is celebrated around the world on April 16 with a programme series that puts the importance of the human voice in the spotlight.
The chairman of the international organising committee is Swedish professor Johan Sundberg, and the coordinator for Hungary is otolaryngologist and phoniatrics specialist Prof. Tamás Hacki MD. The Hungarian State Opera joined the event in 2014 through the efforts of Dr. Krisztina Mészáros (otolaryngologist, phoniatrist and audiologist), head doctor of the Hungarian National Institute of Oncology and opera singer and Artist of Merit Éva Bátori. Following the success of last year’s event, the programme series will be repeated at the Erkel Theatre, where interested members of the public are invited to participate in presentations and concerts.
