On 10 June, 2017, the star of the Berliner Staatsoper, Bayreuth and the Metropolitan Opera, René Pape makes his Hungarian debut at the Opera House at the closing concert of the four-week-long HungarianFest.
No true opera fan or critic could possibly deny the fact that German-born René Pape is one of the leading bass singers in the world today. A multifaceted singer who is at home in various styles and languages, René Pape will be coming to his first recital in Hungary at the Hungarian State Opera at the zenith of his career. He selected the programme for his aria recital himself, but was glad to accommodate our request to include works related to Hungary, for the final concert of HungarianFest.
