The charity concert on 22 October 2017 at the Erkel Theatre is organized in aim children suffering with tumours or leukaemia. For the first time, the newest and largest Bogányi Piano can be heard during the concert played by Gergely Bogányi himself. His partner on stage is mezzo-sopranoZita Váradi.
Franz Liszt not only conducted opera, but would also often rework beloved music from operatic literature in his piano pieces. Charity and public-spiritedness were key aspects of Liszt’s life and it is in this spirit that this piano concert is a joint production with the Őrzők Foundation. The official charity of the Tűzoltó Street Children’s Clinic will donate income from the event to improving treatment conditions for children suffering with tumours or leukaemia.
Returning for this concert will be Gergely Bogányi, here to inaugurate his “wonder piano”. The Erkel Theatre's new so-called “long model” will be making its debut on this evening. He will be joined by opera singer Zita Váradi on stage. The chief patron of the gala will be Anita Herczegh, the wife of the President of the Republic.
