On 29 and 30 March 2015, the most renowned dance ensembles as well as alternative dance companies can be seen on stage of the Erkel Theatre.
The Hungarian National Ballet organizes its grand ballet evening entitled Pas de quatre for the third time. The host company presents Troy Game, an all-male ballet parody by Robert North. The choreography featuring acrobatic elements merged with martial arts premiered in May 2014 at the Opera.
Ballet Pécs arrives with McMIllan's Speak to Me. Cameron McMillan first worked with this ensemble in 2010. They first performed this choreography in February 2014.
The Ballet Company of Győr presents the work Bolero of the brilliant young choreographer, András Lukács. The dancers perform the piece choreographed to the music by Maurcie Ravel in the costumes designed by Herwerth Monika.
The Szeged Contemporary Dance Company is also a guest ensemble of Pas de quatre. The company presents its production in association with the National Dance Theatre. Tamás Juronics choreographed Stabat Mater to music by Arvo Pärt, the costumes were designed by Bianca Imelda Jeremias.
The Opera first provided alternative dance companies to present their productions as a finale to Pas de quatre in 2014. This year's DanceTrend evening features Compagnie Pal Frenak, Inversdance (the ensemble of Zoltán Fodor), and eight dancers of the Hungarian National Ballet with Metamorphosis Nocturnes choreographed by Andrea Paolini Merlo to music by György Ligeti.
The evening starts with Inversdance and their 2012 production of Esther based on the Book of Esther from the Old Testament. The choreography revolves around the celebration of purim while representing balance between captivity and freedom, faith and love. Music was composed by Attila Gergely.
The company of Pál Frenák present their emblematic, award-winning production, The Hidden Man.
